Lyrics

IT ISN’T OVER ‘TIL IT’S OVER
(Lyrics and music by Winston Apple)

It isn’t over ‘til it’s over, but the hour is getting late
We’re running out of time and yet we go on tempting fate
Banished from The Garden
We’ve wandered so far from home
We’re all in this together
And yet we all feel so alone

It isn’t over ‘til it’s over, but it’s later than it seems
You can’t wake up from a nightmare
When it’s not a dream
We were born into a Paradise that’s now been laid to waste
We can’t go on pretending nothing’s wrong
It’s well past time for us to change our ways

All we hold near and dear is on the line
When we’ve got so much to lose
Why would we choose to roll the dice?
The damage we’ve already done will be slow to mend
This could be a new beginning
But it feels more like the beginning of the end

It isn’t over ‘til it’s over, but we’re in trouble now
We’re running out of time to find our way
Soon there will be no way out
It isn’t over ‘til it’s over, but the end is drawing near
With so many who don’t comprehend
Those of us who do can see the end from here

It isn’t over ‘til it’s over.
