Everything is about to change
One way or another, everything is about to change
Mother Earth is getting hot, her climate changing in response
And we are to blame
A lot of heads still buried in the sand
It doesn’t matter if you don’t understand
Things are changing anyway

For better or for worse

We came to a fork in the road some time ago
Now it’s plain to see that the road we took is the wrong road
We’re on a highway to a living hell
It may be too late to turn back now
Only time will tell

And in this case, time is not on our side
We’re running out of time to make things right
Things could be getting better
Instead of steadily getting worse
We could be building ourselves a stairway to heaven right here on earth
It may not be too late
Let’s change our ways
If we seek salvation
We may yet be saved

If we don’t change our ways, everything is gonna change – anyway
And they’re gonna change in ways nobody wants to see them change
We can stay the course and go from bad to worse
Or change our ways and build a heaven on earth
